I didn’t know the Babyboomers are currently retiring at a rate of over 10,000 per day. That is a huge group of people and it’s expanding… fast! Apparently travel is the fastest growing industry in the world. Seems to go hand in hand.

Here is something else I learned. Travel is an 8 Trillion dollar a year industry worldwide? @twittedtraveler stated that it grew by a one trillion dollars last year alone. I began to wonder which industry was the biggest in the world. I did not take long to figure out that it was travel.

Did you know that the Babyboomers represent the largest trend in the world. It started in 1946 and is projected to continue for about 20 more years. As the boomer have aged, they have affected everything in the market from baby food, mustang cars, mini vans, and now travel.

I recently started tweeting. I find it as an interesting way to communicate. I did a search on travel once I joined twitter, and found this one particular tweeter. He is full of good information and has good leads in the travel industry.

Not everyone is a breakthrough thinker who’s goal is to watch trends that are revolutionizing industry. But lucky for us, such innovators like @twittedtraveler exist to help aid the rest of us.
