Want To Follow The Largest Economic Driver In The World For The Next 20 Years.

Sometimes the best stories are buried. I found such a story recently while tweeting. I enjoy travel a lot and obviously wanted to connect on twitter with other like minds. If your not on tweeter yet, you should be. This is a perfect example of why you should.

I didn’t know the Babyboomers are currently retiring at a rate of over 10,000 per day. That is a huge group of people and it’s expanding… fast! Apparently travel is the fastest growing industry in the world. Seems to go hand in hand.

Here is something else I learned. Travel is an 8 Trillion dollar a year industry worldwide? @twittedtraveler stated that it grew by a one trillion dollars last year alone. I began to wonder which industry was the biggest in the world. I did not take long to figure out that it was travel.

Did you know that the Babyboomers represent the largest trend in the world. It started in 1946 and is projected to continue for about 20 more years. As the boomer have aged, they have affected everything in the market from baby food, mustang cars, mini vans, and now travel.

I recently started tweeting. I find it as an interesting way to communicate. I did a search on travel once I joined twitter, and found this one particular tweeter. He is full of good information and has good leads in the travel industry.

Not everyone is a breakthrough thinker who’s goal is to watch trends that are revolutionizing industry. But lucky for us, such innovators like @twittedtraveler exist to help aid the rest of us. I am not sure what may inspire you but, if you love to travel like myself and millions of others worldwide, you should follow @twittedtraveler. Maybe you will pick something up or add to the conversation.

Do you follow trends in the market? Here is one! What are the babyboomers doing now? Want to get in the know about travel? Vacation Package

Easy Air Travel – Tips And Tricks

Poor planning and mistakes can cause travelers lots of stress. Traveling via plane and checking into airports can be stressful enough without adding anything else to the mix. With that in mind you should aim to keep everything to do with your air travel as simple as possible.

If you follow these seven suggestions you can help yourself make your next flight as comfortable as possible.

Get your head on straight. Strange sounding I know, but it works wonders. Entering the airport you should feel that today will be a good day, that everything will slot into place smoothly and that all the assistants you need to talk to will be in a good mood and want to help you. The day is more likely to run smoothly if you are thinking that is what is going to happen than if you think that everything is going to go wrong.

Slip-on shoes – essential footwear Security in airports is tight, and it doesn’t look to be easing off anytime soon this means that each time we want to fly somewhere we have to do a partial striptease in front of an airport filled with impatient passengers who just want to get on their flight. Wearing slip-on shoes makes the whole taking off your shoes part of airport security a lot easier.

Bring a wheeled carry-on bag. Consider this as a portable airport supply kit. It is still a great idea to keep a small wheeled carry-on bag with you even if you have luggage to check. Carrying all the small things that you might need to make the airports bearable in a bag over your shoulder can be tiring and limits the amount of flexibility you have. If you pick up some food and drinks or even a magazine or two you can use your wheeled carry-on to hold all the things that you pick up during your stay at the airport.

Bring something to eat. Unless you are particularly fond of snacks devoid of nutritional value and high in fat and carbohydrates then you will want to buy healthier food options than what are available on the plane.

Drink. Drinking lots of water whilst flying will help you to feel better about the whole experience. Because your plane is sealed and pressurized the air that you breathe in is recycled which makes it very dry. So during your flight you will breathe in a lot of crud whilst on the way to your destination, drinking plenty of water helps your body to deal with this.

Silence is golden, so investing in a set of noise-canceling headphones is a good choice. What more is there that I can say other than wow? If you fly often then a set of noise-canceling headphones are worth the money you pay for them. I don’t think I have to tell you that planes are not the quietest places on earth. The combination of powerful engines, crying babies and talkative neighbors can really be a headache. Wearing noise canceling headphones will help to reduce these unpleasant side effects of air travel to a barely whisper.

Bring something to do that can be easily replaced. During your flight and any layovers you need to take there are an almost endless amount of things that you can do to stave of boredom such as working on your laptop or doing a crossword puzzle. You need an outlet to charge your laptop, you need a pen to do a puzzle and you need a credit card to access the lounge and watch TV. It’s easy to see the point that I’m trying to make. Picking entertainment that is easily carried and easily stopped and started again is a great idea as that may happen quite a bit as you progress through your travels. One of the best options is a magazine because if you forget it you can easily buy another one.

Your air travel worries will all just melt away if you implement these seven suggestions and keep your survival kit lightly but well stocked.

Flying With Children

Getting to your destination is only half the battle, especially when you are on a family vacation with you children. Children get bored, this is an immutable fact of life, even on the shortest of flights and you will have to think of ways to keep the relaxed and entertained. As with all aspects of life, being organized and forward thinking can help you to make any flight a pleasurable one.

When you decide to fly with your children it is important that you understand the challenges this will entail if you have any hope of being successful. There are many unexpected delays and problems that can occur if you haven’t planned your trip with your children properly. Before making your plans it is important to sit down and figure out everything that you would need to make the vacation go smoothly.

Even when things go well there is still the increased amount of things the your children will insist in bringing with them. The parent’s main job is to play pack horse and carry all of their children’s things whilst trying to keep and eye on a group of small, active travelers in a crowded and noisy place. The challenges that face you as a parent trying to take their children on vacation can, at times, be almost overwhelming, at that is when things are going smoothly.

If things do start to turn sour you can find that your problems and challenges begin it multiply. Parents can be very distracted because they want to keep an eye on their children amid a terminal full of strangers. It is far too easy for a young child to wander off in a strange and exciting place such as an airport.

Air travel with your children does give you a chance to experience things you wouldn’t if you were traveling by yourself. If you can you should try and relax and let your children have a little wander and enjoy the sights and sounds of the airport as it works like a giant living creature importing strangers from strange lands and allowing them access to places they had never knew existed. It you are traveling with more than a single adult then you should have no major problems when you travel with your children.

Children will learn to behave as they travel more and learn what is and is not acceptable traveling behavior, so it is important to start as soon as you can. If you wait to long then you can find yourself with your hands full every time you try traveling with your children. However, if you begin traveling on airlines with your children when they are young, they are much more likely to understand the rules and learn to behave well for the rest of their lives. The more your children are exposed to traveling the more they will learn how to behave and the more you will enjoy the whole experience.

The old worry about taking your children onto a plane can now dissipate because your children will be well behaved for you. Looking at this through your child’s eyes will help you to find ways of making the whole experience fun for both your child as well you.

Come Out Ahead Every Month With An Airline Miles Credit Card

Credit cards have kind of a bad rep in certain circles these days. It seems you’re always hearing from one person or another all about how evil they are – how they do nothing but drive people into debt and give them more to worry about while the credit card company makes a bundle off of interest, late fees, and surcharges. However, for smart spenders who are responsible with credit, nothing could be further from the truth.

The truth of the matter is credit has become such a competitive industry that now credit providers are looking for more and more ways to actively court potential customers and convince them to choose their program over those offered but their competitors. This includes offering members free rewards just for being a loyal customer! It was from this concept that the now popular airlines miles credit cards were born.

Thanks to these innovative airline reward cards, consumers everywhere are not only able to more easily manage their finances, but they’re coming out ahead every month by earning free airline miles to use toward their next flight too. In some cases, they’re even earning free seating upgrades, hotel accommodations, and car rentals as well – definitely nothing to sneeze at! Here’s how you can join them and get your credit working for you today!

Pay Off Your Balance in Full Every Month

One of the first rules of ensuring that you (and not the credit provider) profit from your credit instead is to make sure you pay your balance off in full each month. Credit card companies make their money by collecting interests on revolving balances. If you don’t keep a running balance, then you won’t be charged any interest fees — simple as that! Budget carefully and only charge what you can actually pay in full at the end of the month. Then you’ll have nothing on your mind other than all the free airline miles you earned just for using your card.

Keep Track of How Many Rewards Points Your Purchases Are Worth

Many air miles credit cards allow you to earn double or even triple miles on purchases of certain types or from certain service providers. Make it your business to know exactly what types of purchases these are and plan your spending accordingly. For instance, if your airline mileage credit card gives you double miles for gas or grocery purchases, see to it that you use your card to pay for these purchases as opposed to other methods. You will have a free airline ticket in your hot little hand before you know it!

Use Your Accumulated Miles Wisely

If your miles come attached to concerns like blackout periods or expiration dates, make sure you stay on top of these things and keep track of when they’re coming up. You don’t want to lose all your hard earned miles simply because you didn’t keep track of when they were due to expire! Already made your vacation reservations? Consider redeeming leftover miles on seating upgrades or gift cards. Not flying anywhere anytime soon? Depending on your frequent flyer credit provider, you may even be able to transfer your miles to a friend or relative.

When airline miles credit cards are used carefully and wisely, they’re not only a welcome convenience when it comes to managing your expenses. They’re also a valuable way to come out on top of the game overall. Can you find a use for unbeatable savings and free airline tickets? If the answer is yes, then you really can’t afford not to have a frequent flyer card in your wallet. Fill out an application online today and find out how you can make your money go further than you ever imagined!
